What we collect

• When you call, email, or use our contact form, we receive what you share with us: your name, your contact details, and your message.
• To understand how people use this website, we use Google Analytics. It sets cookies in your browser and collects information such as the pages you visit, how you arrived, your general location, and your device and browser type. It does not tell us your name. It also counts taps on our phone number and email address so we know how people reach us.
• Our hosting provider processes basic technical information, such as your IP address, to deliver pages and keep the site secure.
• Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, and the Contact page shows a Google Map. Google receives your IP address and browser details when these load, under Google’s privacy policy.

Contacting Akins Law Firm through this website, by email, or by phone does not create an attorney-client relationship. Please do not send confidential information about your matter until we have spoken with you and agreed to work together.

How we use your information

We use what you send us to respond to you, to understand whether we can help, and, if you become a client, to represent you. We use analytics only to improve this website. We do not sell your information.

Who else sees it

Your information passes through the service providers that host this website, deliver our email, and provide our analytics. They handle it only to provide those services to us. We may also share information when the law requires it.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on. You can also ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing dakins@akins.law. We will respond within 30 days. Some records may need to be kept where the law or our professional duties require it.

Children

This website is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Links to other websites

This website links to other sites, such as professional directories. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and this policy does not cover them.

Changes to this policy

If our practices change, we will update this page and the date at the top.
